Browsing this website
Your browser sends technical information needed to load the website, such as an IP address, requested URL, browser information and the time of the request. The web server may record this information in access and error logs to operate the website, investigate faults and protect it against abuse. This processing supports our legitimate interests in maintaining a reliable and secure website.
This website does not offer an online shop, checkout, payment processing, visitor registration, newsletter subscription or contact submission form. It does not use advertising trackers, embedded maps or embedded social-media feeds. Optional audience analytics is described below. Images and website assets are served by the website itself.
Contacting us
If you choose to email or telephone us, we receive the contact details and information you provide. We use them to respond and handle your enquiry. Routine business enquiries are handled in our legitimate interest in communicating with customers and other contacts; enquiries about a potential contract with you may be handled to take steps at your request before entering that contract. Information may also be retained where required by law.
You decide what to share. Without a way to contact you and enough information to understand the request, we may be unable to respond. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.
Cookies and similar technologies
Analytics stays off until you select “Accept analytics”. If you accept, Google Analytics 4 measures page visits, basic interaction and clicks on our email and telephone links. It receives technical information such as your browser and device, page path, time of visit and a cookie identifier. Your IP address is used during collection, including to derive approximate location; Google states that it does not log or store individual IP addresses from EU, Swiss or UK users; handling outside these regions is described in Google’s privacy documentation. We do not enable Google Signals or advertising personalisation, and do not intentionally send names, email addresses or telephone numbers to Analytics. Query strings and URL fragments are removed from the page address sent by our configuration. The legal basis for this optional measurement is your consent.
Google Analytics uses first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_4J4VZP44GP, configured to expire after up to 180 days. Your accept/reject choice is stored locally in your browser under gss-consent-v1 for 180 days. This preference storage remembers your choice and is not used to track you. You can choose “Reject analytics” and still use the website, or change your choice through “Cookie settings” in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops future collection and removes the Analytics cookies from this site; it does not undo processing already performed with consent. We ask again when the saved choice expires or is cleared. Authorised staff accessing the WordPress administration area use technical cookies for login, session security and interface preferences. These are separate from ordinary public browsing. Browser settings allow you to remove or block cookies, although doing so can prevent administrative login.
Links to GFE, Createch, Nibble and other external websites open services with their own privacy and cookie notices. An email link opens your chosen email application; it does not submit a form through this website.
Who may receive information
Access is limited to staff who need it to handle the enquiry or administer the website, and relevant hosting, IT support and email service providers. If you accept analytics, Google also processes measurement data to provide Google Analytics. Processing may involve Google entities and infrastructure outside the European Economic Area, subject to Google’s applicable data processing terms and transfer safeguards. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Google Analytics data safeguards. Information may be disclosed to authorities where legally required. This website is hosted by SiteGround. Hosting involves processing technical request data and storing website files and backups. SiteGround describes its processing and subprocessors in its data processing agreement. You can contact us for information about the providers involved and any international transfers and applicable safeguards.
How long information is kept
Analytics user and event data retention is set to two months, without restarting the retention period on new activity. Aggregated reports may remain available for longer. Retention of other information depends on the purpose: the time needed to resolve an enquiry, any continuing business relationship, applicable record-keeping duties and the handling of legal claims. The hosting service makes access logs available for up to 30 days and provides a rolling backup history of up to 30 days. Separate copies may be retained for a website migration or recovery until verification is complete. Information needed to investigate a specific security incident or meet a legal obligation may be retained for that purpose.
Your rights
Subject to the applicable conditions, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Contact us using the email above. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. Requests are normally answered within one month; if a lawful extension is needed, we will explain it within that month.
You may complain to Portugal’s Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD) or another competent supervisory authority. See the CNPD guidance on your rights.
Automated decisions and changes
This website does not make automated decisions about visitors or build advertising profiles. We will update this notice if its features or processing change, including before introducing a form or changing the analytics or other services used.
